Enagás, once again recognized as one of the top 100 global leaders in open innovation
Enagás has been selected, for the sixth consecutive year, as one of the 100 Corporate Startup Stars globally in the prestigious awards organized by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and Mind the Bridge.
This recognition places the company among the world’s most outstanding firms in collaboration with startups and promotion of open innovation. This year, the awards were held at the ICC Global Headquarters in Paris, with the participation of companies from 30 countries. Enagás continues to solidify its position as a global leader in the energy sector, showcasing the diversity of open innovation tools available (intrapreneurship, venture building, pilots, venture client, direct startup investments, or fund investments) as well as its commitment to developing innovative projects in sustainability, decarbonization, and renewable gases, which are fundamental to driving the energy transition. Enagás carries out this Open Innovation activity through Enagás Emprende, its initiative dedicated to Open Innovation and Corporate Venture.

NVIDIA succeeds Microsoft in this reference position. Among the 100 selected companies, 5 are based in Spain, including Enagás, as well as names such as Acciona, Banco Santander, Repsol, and Telefónica, reflecting the strength of the Spanish innovation ecosystem. A future driven by collaboration
“Open innovation is not only a fantastic channel for accessing new technologies at an early stage but also a strategic tool to explore new businesses and markets that collaboratively facilitate our decarbonization and supply security objectives,” stated Emilio Martínez Gavira, Head of Open Innovation and Entrepreneurship Venturing at Enagás, after receiving the award from Candace Johnson, entrepreneur, investor, and ICC Executive Board Member.
“This recognition reaffirms our commitment to working alongside startups and other corporations to tackle global energy challenges.”
With this distinction, Enagás renews its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the promotion of projects that contribute to the energy transition and the development of new solutions for the benefit of society through Open Innovation mechanisms.
