On May 7, the Energía Positiva+ Demo Day event was held, where the projects selected in the urgent call for proposals launched on April 7 and promoted by Enagás, Red Eléctrica, CLH, Iberdrola, BP, EIT InnoEnergy, Acciona, Capital Energy and DISA were announced. On the other hand, the initiative also has the collaboration of institutions such as Startup Olé, ASCRI, El Referente, Socios Inversores, Byld, Everis, Dentons, PKF Attest innCome and Pons IP.
The event was attended by the CEOs of the organising companies and Francisco Polo, High Commissioner for España Nación Emprendedora, who opened the event and said that the initiative “represents the best of Spanish society and the importance of joining together in the face of great challenges”.
Of the total of 396 ideas received, 14 were selected to represent all of them at the conference. The last ones belong to Spanish startups that offer innovative solutions for the new decarbonized energy model and social impact proposals to COVID-19. In both cases, the solutions can be introduced in a period of less than one year and will have a positive economic impact, which were a requirement for the reception of projects.
Among the startups/scaleups responsible for the proposals are Solatom CSP S.L, Hybrid Storage Solutions S.L, Pastoria Project S.L, Nautilus Floating Solutions S.L, PFT Engineering Development, Zubi New Ventures S.L, Egoa Energía, Light App SL, Cedrion Consultoría Técnica e Ingeniería S.L, OriGen.AI Inc., Silbat Energy Storage Solutions, Graphene Solutions, Ariema Energía y Cedanjobs.
It is currently advancing in the next phase, in which the different driving companies are finalizing the analysis of all the selected proposals, agreements will be closed with a total of 14-18 startups/scaleups submitted to Energía Positiva+. The celerity of the study is due to the fact that another of the requirements of the call is that before the end of May a collaboration agreement with at least one startup/scaleup will have to be signed.
