Description: SOLATOM CSP is a Spanish startup based in Valencia, which manufactures solar boilers to generate high-temperature thermal energy in industrial applications. SOLATOM’s solar boilers generate steam up to 300 ºC for heat-intensive industrial processes. In order to reach high temperature, the solar boilers use mirrors that follow the path of the sun, reflecting the solar radiation on the absorber tube where the steam is generated. The solar boilers are shipped pre-fabricated in 15kW modules. Each module has the size of a standard 20 feet shipping container. Once positioned, the modules are connected together like Lego pieces until the design power is achieved. The use of solar steam enables heat-intensive industries to reduce their energy bills as well as decarbonize their thermal energy demand.
