Scale Green Energy, a new company focused on accelerating the energy transition, originates from Enagás’ corporate entrepreneurship program, Enagás Emprende, through the merger of two of its spin-offs—Scale Gas and E4Efficiency—and a renewed focus to lead integrated solutions toward more sustainable energy.

Scale Green Energy is a company specializing in the delivery of comprehensive services for the energy transition, offering innovative solutions that facilitate the development of sustainable infrastructure around renewable gases such as biomethane, green hydrogen, bio-LNG, and bio-CNG.

This company is the result of the evolution and merger of two pioneering initiatives born within Enagás Emprende, Enagás’ corporate entrepreneurship program. These initiatives—Scale Gas and E4Efficiency—were created during the program’s first edition of the Ingenia Business call, originally aimed exclusively at promoting business ideas driven by internal entrepreneurs at Enagás.

Scale Gas, established as a spin-off in 2017 by Enagás and two internal entrepreneurs, focused from the outset on the development of small- and medium-scale LNG infrastructure and alternative fuels for sustainable mobility and the industrial sector. Its mission was to facilitate access to and efficient use of these less polluting fuels, directly contributing to emissions reduction in transport and industrial processes.

On the other hand, E4Efficiency—also launched by Enagás along with four internal entrepreneurs—brought to the project its expertise in energy process optimization and operational efficiency, offering advanced technological solutions to reduce consumption and emissions across various industrial sectors. The company stood out for implementing innovative digital solutions aimed at significantly improving energy and environmental performance for its clients.

Thanks to the continued support from the Enagás Emprende program, both initiatives have grown, evolved, and ultimately merged their capabilities into Scale Green Energy, consolidating the company as a key player in the energy transition. Today, it provides an end-to-end service—from design and construction to operation and maintenance—of renewable gas infrastructure, ensuring an effective and sustainable energy transition aligned with the European climate neutrality goals.
